Zara Home, in yet another successful collaboration with Belgian architect and designer, Vincent Van Duysen, brings forward a new collection dedicated to the art of dining. Following the debut of their partnership in 2022, which was themed around living room essentials, this new venture delves into the heart of the home – the dining room.

The Power of Collaboration

The collaboration reunites Van Dusen’s quintessential design ethos with Zara Home’s unique DNA. The new collection includes dining tables, chairs, sideboards, cabinetry and a wide range of tableware and tablecloths. The first collection was hailed for its unique blend of Van Dusen’s design philosophy and Zara Home’s commitment to quality and utility and this new chapter successfully pushes the boundaries of the art of social catering with their first collection . . . .

For Van Dusen, the collection is more than a simple partnership with the brand. It’s a journey through his design archive, revisiting some of his iconic pieces and styles. ‘This ongoing collection reflects 30 years of my work,’ he notes, revealing the depth and breadth of his creative influence in these new pieces.

The Philosophy of Conviviality

Van Dusen’s design approach is clear yet profound. She aims to create products that add beauty to everyday life. These features promote comfort and utility. Another word for collaboration is “a word of friendship,” as its developer puts it. It encourages a pace of life and a balanced mind.

The collection includes subjects and topics familiar to Van Dusen. He lives with them in their homes in Antwerp and Comporta. He describes the figures as ‘very logical and elegant’. They want simplicity and comfort. These programs encourage a collaborative atmosphere and shared experiences. Every meal is turned into a special event.

A feature of the new Zara Home collection by Van Duysen is its versatility. The items are primarily designed for dining rooms. However, their adaptive design allows for a comfortable fit in any room in the home. Signature elements like wooden tables and leather-topped chairs return. They come in different sizes and colors. This provides a sense of continuity to the collection. It also introduces an updated design language.

Handmade sofas and chairs and other upholstered chairs also return, albeit in new colours, including new linens and new pinks, which add a touch of whimsy and softness to the collection around.

The Multipurpose Gesture

Van Dusen believes that each piece in the collection should serve multiple purposes. The tables are designed to function as both a dining area and office, while side tables can provide different reception environments, allowing them to switch roles throughout the day and season

Key pieces include a wardrobe. This standing, two-door storage unit is not only a useful addition to any room, but also adds a touch of sculpture to the small charm.

Reimagining Dining and Hosting

Van Dusen’s personal approach to food and hospitality informed part of the collection. Whether it’s an intimate space for four to mingle around a center table in the kitchen or a large dinner party for 18 around a 6m table in the living room, each piece has been designed with this mind-shifting a this about unity in mind.

The collection continues to grow with tableware, glassware and flatware. Each piece adds to the overall vision of the table, building a human-centered approach that is not only valuable in terms of style and practicality but focuses on creating well-curated collections also emphasize.

The Homecoming

Van Dusen shares his final thoughts on the collection. ‘The concepts, emotional aspects and style all reflect my work,’ she says. Zara Home, this furniture is a homecoming for her. The collection emphasizes unity. It also shows flexibility. It emphasizes the joy of communal meals and intimate gatherings. This allows everyone to incorporate the pieces into their lives in the way they choose.

In summary, the new Zara Home collection pays homage to Van Dusen’s previous work. It reflects his own life. It also offers a vision of future buildings. The collection reflects the beauty of unity. It shows the joy of eating together. Every day is like a celebration of life.
