ZEOS: Enabling partner growth on TikTok Shop as preferred logistics provider

Published

on

The world of e-commerce is evolving, and discovery commerce is presenting a new way for customers to find and discover their favorite products, bringing shoppable videos and live streams directly in front of their eyes whilst giving brands, merchants, and creators the tools to sell directly through shoppable content. Following the successful launch of TikTok Shop in the UK, Ireland and Spain, its expansion into Germany, France, and Italy marks a pivotal moment.

Zalando, through its B2B unit ZEOS, is at the forefront of this development, empowering brands and retailers to thrive in this dynamic space as TikTok Shop’s preferred logistics partner for fashion and lifestyle merchants. Alongside Tradebyte as the key integration partner, ZEOS is enabling partners to seamlessly integrate with TikTok Shop in these new markets. This creates an exclusive opportunity for merchants using both ZEOS and Tradebyte to tap into TikTok Shop’s expansion and grow their e-commerce business in Europe.

“At ZEOS, we enable brands and retailers to expand across Europe with end-to-end logistics, integration and software solutions. Discovery Commerce is becoming increasingly important to our B2B customers and we are excited to connect them with TikTok Shop as part of our ZEOS offering, leveraging our extensive experience in fashion and lifestyle e-commerce.” – Jan Bartels, SVP at ZEOS

“Expanding TikTok Shop into new markets is an exciting milestone for us, and we’re pleased to partner with ZEOS as our preferred logistics partner for fashion & lifestyle. Their expertise in e-commerce logistics ensures that merchants have the support they need to succeed in discovery commerce. Together, we’re helping brands connect with new audiences and grow through seamless integration and fulfilment solutions.” – Max Burianek, Head of TikTok Shop Germany Operations

First ZEOS Partner live on TikTok Shop with Tradebyte integration

TB International, a longstanding ZEOS partner, is leading the way by becoming one of the first merchants to integrate with TikTok Shop Germany through Tradebyte, leveraging ZEOS solutions. As an early adopter of Zalando Fulfillment Solutions, TB International has successfully scaled its direct-to-consumer (DTC) business, shipping over 10 million B2C orders annually across 23 markets. Now, the retailer – known for representing more than 75 leading brands – is taking the next step by launching on TikTok Shop Germany while also adopting ZEOS Fulfillment for its own.com business.

“As a long-standing client of ZEOS, we’ve been able to scale our business across multiple markets while staying agile in an evolving retail landscape. Expanding to TikTok Shop is a natural next step, and we’re excited to be among the first to bring this channel to life with ZEOS and Tradebyte.” – Johannes von Roth-Bandick, Chief Digital Officer at TB International.

“We’re excited to accompany our longtime partner TB International on their journey into discovery commerce with TikTok Shop. This move highlights how Tradebyte enables brands to unlock new sales channels quickly, seamlessly connect their digital fashion business, and decouple complexity – all within one unified environment.” – Matthias Schulte, CEO at Tradebyte.

This expansion is a significant example of ZEOS Fulfillment’s adaptability, featuring a unique hybrid outbound and return setup across multiple carriers. TB International’s growth trajectory – from wholesale to DTC in 2019 and now expanding into discovery commerce – demonstrates the strength of ZEOS’s network in supporting evolving retail strategies.

A continuous learning journey

Based on the changing customer behaviour, discovery commerce is becoming more relevant with a significant growth potential. As this is a relatively new area for us, Zalando Group wants to learn and further gain insights into how discovery commerce can work for both its B2C and B2B business areas. With the Zalando storefront pilot on TikTok Shop in the UK, we can explore and understand the dynamics of an already established social commerce environment, next to building our own social commerce capabilities as part of the work of our new tech hub in Shenzhen, China. Now with ZEOS, we want to leverage the insights from this partnership to strengthen our partner business: from supporting them to reach new customers in new markets and platforms, to helping them increase customer engagement through new formats and experiences, among others. Zalando is committed to testing, learning, and innovating in the social commerce space, ensuring an engaging and inspiring experience for customers and supporting merchants in their e-commerce journey.

About Zalando

In B2C, we provide an inspiring, high-quality multi-brand shopping experience for fashion and lifestyle products to more than 50 million active customers across 25 markets. In B2B, we leverage our logistics infrastructure, software, and service capabilities to support brands and retailers in managing and scaling their entire e-commerce business, both on and off the Zalando platform. Through our ecosystem vision, Zalando aims to enable positive change in the fashion and lifestyle industry.
