Self-acceptance: How can we become more self-accepting?

Published

on

We’re talking about an important topic today which is: How to accept yourself. What does it mean to accept yourself, what areas does self-acceptance affect, why can it be so hard to accept yourself, what is the difference between self-acceptance and self-esteem and how can we learn to accept ourselves? That’s all part of today’s episode.
Most of us think that we will accept ourselves once we achieve a certain goal, look a certain way, or fit an image of who we think we should be. But accepting yourself is about accepting all of you, as you are, right NOW. It’s not about accepting yourself ONLY when you’re “perfect”. Because we will never be and that’s okay.
I hope this episode can help you understand the meaning and importance of self-acceptance and can help you find strategies and tips that help you become more self-accepting and self-loving. Embrace who you are! You are wonderfully made and you matter.

About the girl behind the Podcast

Saphira Walzer

My name is Saphira Walzer, I’m 20 years old and I’m the host of the Because you matter podcast.
I’m a personal trainer and nutritionist. I love that this job not only helped me learn a lot about physical activity and health but also opened the doors for me to help others. That’s also the main reason for this podcast. I wanted to create a safe place for you and I want to help you accept yourself, feel good in your own skin, learn how to implement healthy habits into your routines and grow.
I have been struggling with an anxiety disorder for the past couple of years and healing from it made me want to learn more about mental health, how it affects us, what we can do to stay healthy mentally and physically and how we can become our best selves – for ourselves.

So this podcast is all about self-love, self-care, about becoming the best version of yourself, growing and healing. Because you matter.
