The Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele 2024

The Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele 2024, running from April 26 to May 25, will feature 47 events under the theme “Da capo.” This will be the eighth and final season under the artistic direction of Heike Hoffmann. Highlighting artists who have captivated audiences in recent years, the festival will feature residencies by Tabea Zimmermann, Avi Avital, and Fabian Müller, each presenting three concerts. Debuts include Les Siècles under François-Xavier Roth and the French ensemble Les Forces Majeures. The festival opens with the premiere of Lucia Ronchetti’s opera “Der Doppelgänger” and includes diverse productions ranging from Purcell to Simon Steen-Andersen, culminating with a new production by Nico and the Navigators. New this year is the venue of the Dom zu Worms, hosting Monteverdi’s Marienvesper. The complete program is available online from November 21, and ticket sales start on December 6.
