Stars guest at Calzedonia show in Milan
The 2nd edition of the Calzedomania event format took place on September 19, kicking off Milan Fashion Week in the Italian metropolis. Legwear specialist Calzedonia surprised international guests and celebrities like Toni Garrn, Leighton Meester, Ashley Graham, and Alessandra Ambrosio with another unforgettable experience.
After last year’s premiere in Paris, the Calzedonia label chose Milan for the second edition of its spectacular event format. The “Calzedomania” show opened the Fashion Week this past Tuesday. For the perfect blend of modernity and pop culture, Calzedonia selected the iconic Allianz Mico as the venue – the architectural center of the most futuristic district in Milan. The event was again designed by Etienne Russo’s creative agency Villa Eugénie, known for over thirty years of organizing shows and events worldwide and for their original stagings.
The guests were positively surprised by various performances, such as the ‘Leg Runway,’ for which there was an open casting in Milan. The evening featured choreographies by Kevin Vives (@viveskevin), known for his collaborations with artists like Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, and Kylie Minogue. “Mirror ball performer” Louise Kelly also captivated the audience with her dancing. The show by platform performer Camille Tremblay (@cammmt) was exhilarating, concluding with costume visions by the imaginative designer Sasha Frolova (@sashafro). Particularly impressive were the hair traction performance by pole dancer Martina Storti (@martinastorti__) and acrobatic dances by Lea Toran Jenner (@leatoranjenner) under chandelier lights.
The surprising journey through surreal atmospheres started right on the red carpet. Prominent guests included models Alessandra Ambrosio, Ashley Graham, and Toni Garrn, as well as actresses Leighton Meester, Suki Waterhouse, and Camille Razat. Leonie Hanne and Elisabetta Canalis were also spotted on the red carpet. From Germany, attendees included actress Palina Rojinski, presenter Rebecca Mir, dancer Ivana Santacruz, and content creators Farina Opoku, Milena Karl, and Liz Kaeber.
The real stars of the evening were, of course, the models of the new Calzedonia collection: sheer tights paired with opaque or sequin-embellished panties for a “No-Pants-Look”, fishnet tights with geometric, floral, or animal prints, and the new super-shiny trend in tights and bodysuits reminiscent of the 80s. Particularly coveted are the tights of the Exclusive Edition created specifically for the event, now available in select stores and online, enchanting with transparency effects and shiny appliqués.
One thing became clear: tights are an elegant and sensual must-have in every woman’s wardrobe. They’re no longer just a simple accessory but an expression of innovative trends by leading fashion designers.
With more than 570 sales outlets in Italy, Verona-based Calzedonia is a leading player in the legwear universe. It is present in 55 countries with over 2,150 sales outlets and e-commerce channels in 33 countries.
