New Gaming Experience
Nike brings to Fortnite an exciting innovation, “Airphoria”. This first-of-its-kind gaming experience is borne out of a solid multi-year partnership with Epic Games. The experience brings together Nike’s legendary Air Max brand and the immersive universe of Fortnite, thereby charting a futuristic path for sports experiences. Airphoria skillfully intertwines the iconic design elements of Air Max with Fortnite’s ever-changing terrain. Using Epic Games’ groundbreaking Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), Airphoria allows players to navigate an Air Max-themed universe. This innovative platform will offer fans an unprecedented opportunity to interact with Air Max sneakers in new, intriguing ways.

The company made strategic use of Epic Games’ Unreal Editor for Fortnite to develop Airphoria. Consequently, this sets the stage for ongoing collaborations. Echoing this sentiment, Nate Nanzer, VP of Global Partnerships at Epic Games, expresses his excitement about the partnership’s potential. He firmly believes that Airphoria heralds a new phase. Specifically, it exemplifies the seamless integration of entertainment, fashion, and sports. In line with this, the partnership is committed to creating deeply immersive experiences At the heart of Airphoria are five iconic Air Max “Grails”. Majestically floating above Airphoria city, these Grails symbolize pivotal moments in Air Max history. They not only add visual appeal but also facilitate the city’s existence in the “Air State”. This realm, in essence, epitomizes pure creativity and imagination.
Linking the Virtual and Physical
In sync with the Airphoria launch, Fortnite players can acquire the outfits sported by the key Airphoria characters, Airie and Maxxed Out Max, in the Fortnite Item Shop. Concurrently, a limited Airphoria-inspired collection is debuting on nike.com in North America, bridging the gap between Airphoria’s virtual world in Fortnite and Nike Air Max.
