Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour: Santa Claus Arrives by Train from DB Cargo at Four Train Stations in Germany
Year after year, the fascination of the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour captivates people in Germany. To bring the magic of this pre-Christmas tradition to even more people, Coca-Cola is collaborating this year with Deutsche Bahn and is bringing Santa Claus by train from DB Cargo to four major train stations in Germany.
This year’s theme of the Coca-Cola X-Mas campaign: “Discover the Santa Claus in you”
Whether on the road or on the rails, this year’s Coca-Cola Truck Tour at Christmas time has a very special goal: to encourage people to discover the Santa Claus within themselves and to stand for charity and generosity. This is the central theme of this year’s Coca-Cola Christmas campaign. The campaign aims to reawaken the true magic of Christmas and calls for more good deeds in everyday life. This year’s campaign makes it clear: A world full of Santa Clauses would be a friendly world. That’s why the world needs more Santa Clauses!
DB Cargo brings the Coca-Cola Christmas magic to the rails
After four stops with the Coca-Cola Truck on the road in Binz, Celle, Cologne, and Munich, the Christmas truck rolls onto a train for the first time and continues its tour through Germany on the rails. With the traditional truck in tow, Santa Claus, in cooperation with DB Cargo, drives directly to the platform in the train stations of Leipzig (15.12.), Frankfurt am Main (17.12.), Hamburg Altona (20.12.), and Berlin Südkreuz (22.12.). By combining train and traditional truck transport, Coca-Cola aims to bring the magic of Christmas to even more people. The extended Truck Tour aims to bring even more friends and families together and create a sense of togetherness during the Christmas season.
“We are very pleased that we were able to win DB Cargo as a great cooperation partner this year, with whose help we could give the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour 2023 a new look. By moving four of the eight tour stops to the rails this year, we are bringing our Christmas message even closer to the hearts of people in the city center and making the traditional Truck Tour a new experience in an extraordinary setting,” says Evelyne de Leersnyder, Managing Director of Coca-Cola GmbH in Germany.
“The partnership with Coca-Cola is an exciting opportunity for us to bring the joy and magic of the Christmas season directly to people through our environmentally friendly network. Together with a strong partner, we create unforgettable moments in our train stations for train travelers and are proud to be part of this unique Christmas tradition,” emphasizes Dr. Sigrid Evelyn Nikutta, Board Member for Freight Transport of Deutsche Bahn AG and Chairwoman of the Board of DB Cargo AG.
