Zara announces its first capsule collection made in partnership with and wander. Founded in Japan in 2011 by Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, and wander creates clothes and accessories that enhance the joy of self-discovery through recreational outdoor exploration. Precisely designed to express a philosophy of functionality and liberation, and wander has pioneered a new territory in fashion for those who relish a connection with nature.

For this and wander debut in partnership with Zara, the designers have crafted a winter-ready collection of womenswear that delivers joy and comfort to moments of relaxation. Functional technical fabrics are used to shape immersively insulating protective padded jackets both long and short. Similarly soft and tactile are the tote bags, hip bags and padded-upper boots.

Water-repellent light nylon long coat, anorak jacket, slip-dress and pants also offer a robust portfolio of mid-layer options designed to be worn beneath the outerwear where necessary. Fleeces deliver extra warmth. A cosy and enveloping selection of knit sweaters and pants featuring the brand’s signature zippered pockets complete the and wander worn environment.

Creating this collection, the designers imagined a woman who has returned from a day of alpine wandering – considering the beauty of the mountains, enjoying the freshness of the air – to enjoy quality time in a warm and inviting mountain lodge. Outward discovery enables inward serenity, just as the mindful functionality of and wander’s designs enables the wearer to best experience the liberation of free time.
