New “Mare” Campaign Launches with a Double Celebration

Calzedonia is making waves this summer with the launch of its latest “Mare” beachwear campaign, starring none other than global icon Heidi Klum. The campaign was unveiled on June 1st—which just so happens to be Heidi’s birthday—offering a double reason to celebrate.

For the first time as the brand’s official face, Heidi fronts the Italian label’s summer 2025 campaign, captured by legendary fashion photographer Rankin and brought to life under the creative direction of Thomas Hayo. The setting? The spectacular Sheats-Goldstein Residence, an architectural masterpiece overlooking the Los Angeles skyline. The mood? Unapologetically bold, glamorous, and free—embodying the essence of “Californication.”

Heidi radiates confidence, joy, and sensuality, whether lounging poolside or posing against the modernist backdrop of the iconic home designed by John Lautner in the early 1960s. Every frame of the campaign signals one thing: Summer 2025 is turning up the heat.

The new Calzedonia beachwear collection delivers trend-driven swim styles in a wide range of looks—from dazzling shimmer effects and glittering glam to bold animal prints. Featuring details like ruching, adjustable ties, rhinestone accents, and metallic embellishments, the line embodies all the top swim trends of the season.

With her magnetic presence and timeless beauty, Heidi Klum proves that style and confidence know no age. She personifies modern femininity—equally at home on the runway or by the water—and perfectly reflects Calzedonia’s vibrant, empowering spirit.

Behind the lens, Rankin Archive brought its signature aesthetic and fashion legacy to the project. Known for creating visually arresting images that appear in top publications and major art institutions worldwide, Rankin’s London-based team added a strong editorial edge to the campaign.

Creative Director Thomas Hayo, whose career spans international fashion, advertising, and television, was responsible for the campaign’s concept and creative direction.

“Italian style meets California cool!” Hayo explains. “Our goal was to merge Calzedonia’s signature craftsmanship and attention to detail with the carefree energy and optimism that Heidi embodies—creating a modern, international campaign that fuses elegance with summer spirit.”

With a strong worldwide retail and online presence, the brand blends Italian dolce vita with fashion-forward innovation—making contemporary swimwear accessible to women everywhere.

The campaign featuring Heidi Klum launched across Germany on June 1st, appearing in a broad out-of-home activation, digital platforms, and social media channels nationwide.
