  • Engineered for advanced coverage, SS25 adidas Optime features next-to-skin adimove material and leading adidas technologies for expert support through every move, available from 14 January

Today, adidas Training introduces its new squat-proof apparel offering – SS25 adidas Optime – designed to help elevate confidence in the gym and beyond whilst blending support and style, no matter what the day brings. Following insight that three-quarters of gym-goers experience clothing issues when working out1 – holding them back from achieving their personal best and heightening feelings of gymtimidation – the collection keeps functionality and unrestricted movement front of mind, providing performance-first benefits with adidas’ leading material DNAs.

Marking her first appearance with adidas Training, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Antonela Roccuzzo – whose connection to sport lives through her passion for training – joins wider adidas partners, including CrossFit athlete Laura Horvath, and fitness and movement coach Julie Jaws Nelson, to put the collection to the test.

Offering squat-proof coverage, expert support and cooling technology, SS25 adidas Optime has been designed for the specific demands of strength training – a workout type that is continuing to surge in popularity with next-generation athletes. Put to the test by instructors from sport powerhouses Les Mills and Tonehouse, during some of the world’s most demanding strength workouts, this latest line marks the next stride in adidas Training’s commitment to help athletes feel stronger.

Designed to seamlessly transition from workout to everyday wear, the hero pieces fronted by a 4 and 5-inch short and 7/8 legging in a pure ruby colourway leave athletes feeling stable, secure and sculpted. Each piece is made with recycled materials and incorporates adidas’ tech-first, squat-proof material constructs. Key features include:

  • ADIMOVE 2.0 and Lycra Sport material: incorporating materials for added squat-proof coverage when performing lower body exercises, the pieces also provide a reliable 4-way stretch and lasting shape so the wearer can have confidence in receiving all-round support and unrestricted movement
  • CLIMACOOL technology: helping athletes beat the heat, the apparel is built with sweat wicking CLIMACOOL technology and absorbent materials to leave them feeling cool and dry after a heavy weight session
  • Comfort meets functionality: Helping athletes to stay locked in, the SS25 adidas Optime shorts and leggings feature a strategically placed side panel and high waistband for a sculpted feel, with the secure side stash pocket providing easy access to everyday essentials

Speaking about the new collection, Aimee Arana, adidas Global General Manager Sportswear & Training, said: “It’s our continued ambition at adidas Training to support all our athletes in realising their strength and that fundamentally begins and ends with the products we create. Knowing that strength training continues to be the fastest growing workout type amongst the next generation, we set out to design apparel – such as the squat-proof Optime – that will allow the training community to reach their goals with confidence. We are proud, and excited, to add another strength-tailored solution – unveiled by our latest adidas Training partner Antonela Roccuzzo – to our portfolio, so we can continue to ensure our athletes have the best support and experience when working out. With so much more still to come for the Optime range, watch this space!”

The new SS25 adidas Optime range will be available via selected retail stores, and online at adidas.com.
